Why should you support KUCI?

We talk a lot about how great our station is, and it is not just because we have really high self esteem. It is because all 100 + staff members believe in the mission of the station, and are dedicated to providing a truly wonderful non-profit community service to Orange County. We don't spend hours upon hours managing the station and maintaining our shows because we get any monetary benefits, or even units at school; we do it because we are passionate about alternative music, alternative talk, and YOU!

Speaking personally, being a part of KUCI has been the best thing to happen to me during my time at UCI and even my life, and I wouldn't have dedicated so much of my time to a station, (I basically live here) to a community and mission that isn't worth supporting. No where else are you going to find such a diverse and great community of people so dedicated to giving unheard artists and topics a voice.

If you have benefited at all from the station whether it be through finding new music, or getting your own music played on the air, please give whatever you can spare to our station to keep us going. Because we are publicly funded community donations are a huge source of our annual budget, so we need you! We always want to thank you for listening, and now is your chance to thank us. :)

By the way, if a warm fuzzy feeling isn't enough to get you to donate we have really great premiums available. We have some awesome cds (Asobi Seksu, Broken Bells, Dr. Dog, Dan Deacon, Elliott Smith just to name a few!) and cd packs (3 for the price of 1) available at the 30 dollar donation levels, with more and more available at each donation level, and every donation no matter how small will receive a small gift!

There is still time to donate to our funddrive! Call 949-824-5824 or donate online at We accept cash, check, and cards.
